During this highly interactive course, participants master the skills needed to assess, scope, and diagnose issues from all sides, understand different personal styles, and implement a proven positive conflict resolution approach to find workable resolutions that strengthen relationships and results.

Adapt conflict response style to particular situations
Respond more effectively to the emotional content of conflict
Improve communication skills to foster understanding and collaboration
Discuss hot buttons and triggers and strategies for diffusing anger
Frame and set boundaries around conflict
Mobilize third-party techniques to help others resolve conflicts
Module 1: Building Awareness (4 hours)
In this module, participants are introduced to the power of positive conflict. They explore sources and types of conflict, identify factors – personal, cultural, societal – that shape beliefs and behaviours in conflict. Participants explore alternative ways of responding to conflict, learn how to make conflict OK:, reducing the corrosive impact of conflict while fostering its creative potential.
Module 2: Taking Action (4 hours)
In this module, participants are learning the foundational skills for effective conflict resolution, including demonstrate a balance of listening and conflict resolution dialogue. Participants coach one another and receive real-time feedback to assess personal effectiveness in conflict resolution and impact on others.
